In what promises to be a transformative initiative for community healthcare, our Rotary Club marked a historic milestone with the foundation stone laying ceremony for our ambitious Charitable Eye Hospital project. This grand event represented the culmination of years of planning and the beginning of a new chapter in accessible eye care for our region.
A vision of hope for Kasganj
The seeds of this noble initiative were sown during a thought-provoking address by Past District Governor Pawan Agarwal, who challenged clubs to envision sustainable projects with lasting impact. This resonated deeply with our members, who identified eye care as a critical gap in local healthcare services.
We realized that preventable blindness was affecting too many lives in our community. The idea of creating a permanent solution through a dedicated eye hospital captured everyone's imagination.

The project's trajectory changed dramatically when we connected with Shri Umesh Chand Agarwal of Firozabad. In a remarkable act of generosity, Agarwal donated a prime 2,000 square foot property in Kasganj city center, valued at over ₹5 crores, to honor the memory of his late father, Shri Nannumal Agarwal.
This land donation became the foundation for what will be Kasganj's first dedicated charitable eye hospital, providing quality eye care to thousands of underprivileged community members.
